The difference between paddle board and surfboard

Paddle board belongs to a kind of surfboard, but it is obviously different from the general surfboard.

1. Usage: Surfboards are generally used to sit or lie down and wait for waves, then chase the waves, and finally stand on the board. If the balance of the paddle is good, you can always stand on the board, or sit/kneel on the board, and use the paddle in your hand to paddle.

2. Size: Generally, paddles are longer and wider than surfboards.

The surfboard is generally 8 feet, and the paddle board is generally 10-14 feet. It is obvious to look at photos. Relatively speaking, surfboard photos are more popular.

3. Accessories: A foot pad is generally pasted on the surface of the paddle board to prevent slipping. In addition, the paddle is also equipped with an oar to paddle.

4. Classification: Surfboards are generally made of wood, fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc; In addition to the above materials, the paddle board also has an inflatable board. (There are also masters surfing with inflatable boards, which is relatively rare.)

Surfing is not only a board, but also a sport; You can also surf with a paddle.

When it comes to surfing, the first feeling of many people is that it is exciting and fun. It looks too professional and requires superb skills to control the waves! However, there is another wave chasing sport different from professional surfing - paddle surfing, which is not only fun, but also easier to use. So, what is paddle surfing? Paddle surfing, originated in Hawaii, is also known as vertical paddle surfing. Unlike professional surfboards, paddle surfboards are wider and thicker, making it easier to balance. The operator also has a paddle in his hand, which effectively avoids the two most difficult surfing techniques, namely, arm skiing and getting up and standing. Even "novice" players can quickly get started.

In the warm coastal tourist resorts around the world, the trend of SUP is irresistible. Because of the popularity of many professional surfers, celebrities and stars, SUP sports can be seen in safe waters around the world. At present, many players have begun to experience this sport, which is very accessible to civilians, in many surf spots in China. Surfing must be carried out in the presence of waves, while paddle surfing can be accelerated by paddling even in the absence of waves. Therefore, this campaign can also be carried out in inland rivers and lakes. When encountering waves, participants can stand and observe the waves from a distance. It is easier to capture waves by paddling, which enhances the controllability of paddles.

The athlete stands on the surfboard, balancing himself with the oars. Due to the special board type and size, coupled with oars, the paddle surfing SUP, like the CROSS version of the car, also played a cross border game. While reducing the difficulty of getting started, it also changes into a new sports experience.

The high participation and low threshold characteristics of paddle surfing make it popular all over the world. Because paddleboard surfing requires participants to stand up, it can move to all parts of the body, which is conducive to relieving neck, shoulder, waist and back strain caused by modern people sitting for a long time. The white-collar workers who often work in the office can try paddle surfing, which is a "good medicine" to relieve physical and mental fatigue! Using oars to gallop on the water is more conducive to chasing the waves, while players can do long-distance surfing and crossing between two points. Because paddle board belongs to vertical surfing, although it is easy to fall into the water due to poor balance, it is still easy to use adequate safety measures!
